Plywood Webbed Beams – Handling and Storage

Plywood webbed beams require care during handling and storage if they are to perform satisfactorily in service.

When lifting by crane, the use of chains around the beams should be avoided.

It is recommended that webbed beams be stored vertically, clear of the ground on a level base, protected from the weather with tarpaulins or polythene sheeting.
