McCormick Centre
While there is broad support of ecologically sustainable development (ESD) in the community, applying ESD principles in practice requires skill and commitment, especially in building design. A client’s expectations, functional requirements and budgetary constraints can severely limit an ecologically responsible approach. With the McCormick Centre for the Environment at Renmark in South Australia, Architects Phillips/Pilkington have developed a clear, workable and economic ESD response for a building of this scale.

Uluru Aboriginal Cultural Centre
Located one kilometre to the south of Uluru in central Australia, Uluru-Kata Tjuta Aboriginal Cultural Centre is intended to be a meeting place where the Anangu people of the western desert, the traditional custodians of the national park, can share their stories and traditional laws with visitors to the national park.
