Even allowing for some unkind winter weather, completion of the test cells is now in sight.
The cells are all insulated and lined, and cladding is well advanced. Cell 1 is clad in plywood while the brick veneer on Cell 2 is nearly complete, and is underway on Cell 3.
In preparation for cladding, the builders and researcher had to take specific care of the wrapping. The joints between layers of wrapping and any holes were taped to minimise unwanted ventilation.
Services and monitoring equipment is now being prepared.

The construction of three thermal performance test cells at the University of Tasmania's Launceston campus is now complete. Special thanks for this go to postgraduate student, Mark Dewsbury and the builder cb&m design pty ltd, for mobilising the subcontractor team and supervising work.
